It's also how many are coping in these chaotic times. It is Latin for "love of fate" - embracing all aspects of life - joy, pain, loss, gain. Some say it leads to increased resilience through adversity. It involves controlling what is in one's own power, rather than lamenting over what is not.

We have the power to live, breathe, laugh, learn, speak out, respond, vote, write letters, rally, and appreciate the world around us. We may be powerless over who takes office, and what they do when they get there.

There are so many ways to respond to life's challenges. This is just one.
